It was when I was being trained by Missionary Dick York. We should neither ask nor allude our necessities to people. We had to ask only to God. At that time, people in my country were very poor and hungry. If Missionary Dick York sent a letter to the United States, he would not have faced such difficulties: although he was shivering in a cold room, he depended on God only. Often we starved because there was no food. One day, we were sitting around and drinking hot water at the breakfast table. Missionary Dick York saw what happened and he started to question us. My turn came.
"Did you have breakfast?"
"No, I skipped it."
"Why did you skip the meal?"
"Because there was no food."

How could it be my fault to skip the meal because of no money?

"How come you don't have any food?"

I did not understand why he was asking such questions. He knew that we didn't have any money to buy food. So I did not answer and he asked me another question.

"Brother Park, do you have a father?"

I had both heavenly Father and human father, so I answered. "Yes, I have." "Does your father answer if you ask for food?"

I thought, "It is written in the Bible that if we ask God, He will give, but how different it is from reality!'
Although I believed in God, words were just words, they weren't related to my life. But I have never forgotten the interview. Whenever I preach the word, although it is written in the Bible that Jesus cleansed all sin, still, that was just words of the Bible, and in reality, I could see people have sins in their hearts.

No matter how much they know the Bible, if people didn't have cleansed sins in their hearts, what they have is not faith but a theory. The words of the Bible are not theories, but power of the living God. Do you believe in God who really works in your life? Do you believe the Word of power which is realized in your life? When we do not believe that God is helping, we seek only for the human help and human methods. From that time, I started to learn to depend only on God and to do the gospel work only by God's guidance.
